BIO-key, the leading developer of innovative biometric identification solutions, recently launched a line of three compact fingerprint readers that operate on any device with a USB port. The three products eliminate the hassle of manual password entry and work seamlessly with Windows 10 and Windows Hello.
BIO-key needed a video to present to Microsoft trainers, store managers and employees. The video would have to convey the value and use cases of the fingerprint readers, particularly for banks, hospitals and call centers.
BIO-key conducted an extensive search of video production companies. A few were invited to meet with Vice President of Marketing Scott Mahnken and Chairman and CEO Michael DePasquale.
“We chose to work with Custom Video Productions because we were impressed by the quality of their work and their professional approach,” said Mr. Mahnken. “They brought video samples that showed both a corporate flair and a creative flair, and their diligence and organizational structure was superior to companies that we had worked with previously.”
There was one other little requirement. When BIO-key agreed to move forward with us, their presentation to the folks at Microsoft was just 10 days away.
Here is the video we produced for BIO-key – in 10 days.
Microsoft was so impressed that they showcased the video and BIO-key’s three new products in a blog post that was distributed to the entire Microsoft employee base. They also asked BIO-key to build a Microsoft employee product store where the new products could be offered at a discount.
“We’ve shared the video with industry partners, business contacts and media contacts, and everyone literally applauds the video,” said Mr. Mahnken. “Custom Video Productions did a tremendous job balancing what we were requiring with their creative suggestions. Frank’s commitment to getting the right shot no matter how many times it took, even with such a tight production window, really paid off.”
On the day that Microsoft shared the video with employees, BIO-key had its best day of product sales on Amazon. The video has more than 9,000 views on YouTube since it was launched in August, which is more than any other BIO-key video in the past six years.
In addition to the initial Microsoft presentation, BIO-key has embedded the video on the home page of its corporate website and integrated the video into digital marketing and social media campaigns. The CEO also uses the video to open meetings with investors and bankers.
This is the kind of story and feedback that fills us with pride. It was such a pleasure working with the BIO-key team – a truly collaborative effort that produced fantastic results. BIO-key recently contacted us to work on their next video, and we can’t wait to get the ball rolling!
