RED BANK, NEW JERSEY – June 15, 2010

Why use time-lapse photography to captivate audience? It’s worked since 1897. Now, time-lapse is high-definition. Using time-lapse, businesses showcase the construction of commercial buildings, sports arenas, hotels, data centers, roads and bridges. Time-lapse visually tells the story in seconds that in reality spanned months or even years.

Custom Video Production’s client, Sun Edison, is using time-lapse while installing solar panels on businesses such as Whole Foods and Staples in New Jersey. When creating videos, CVP can deploy time-lapse cameras to capture busy people, highway traffic, or anything that involves movement and then incorporate the footage into your video.

“Time-lapse can be used on events such as groundbreaking of a building. It compresses days and months of work to seconds and minutes. The whole process adds visual appeal to any corporate video production,” Frank Farrell said.

Adding time-lapse photography to your Custom Video production, makes your video presentation more visually appealing.

Red Bank, New Jersey | September 30, 2009

Working against the clock is never a desirable circumstance in the business world, yet that is the predicament CVP and Eyeblaster found themselves in earlier this month. Even with the full cooperation of all the parties involved (in all of the countries involved), would they be able to finish the project in time?

The answer, quite simply, is yes. Custom Video Productions, with over 25 years of experience in the video production field, found a way to film testimonials for Eyeblaster in five locations spread across four countries. And it was even done using the same camera, lighting, and background in all of the locations. By taking the same production package used in the New York shoot with him to Los Angeles, and then shipping it to London, England, Melbourne, Australia, and Dusseldorf, Germany, CVP’s owner Frank Farrell was able to make the final product look like it was all filmed at the same time and location. This takes a lot of planning, and a little bit of luck.

“I was half expecting never to see this stuff again,” Frank noted as he was gathering the production package up to ship overseas. Seeing it sitting on the company doorstep two weeks later, fresh off of the UPS truck, was a small piece of satisfaction for him. His plan had been executed. That was only one part of the plan though, and that plan started with Eyeblaster, one of the leading providers of digital advertising solutions. To get the ball rolling on the project, Eyeblaster approached Frank and CVP.

Eyeblaster contacted CVP with a need to film testimonials from some of their recent clients. It would be used to highlight clients’ satisfaction with Eyeblaster. They discovered CVP a few years back, and liked what they saw on CVP’s website enough to warrant speaking further with them. “We need a pro with a network,” they said, and Frank, with his combination of video expertise and worldwide contacts, was the man for the job.

From July 17, there was a constant stream of emails being sent back and forth to make sure every piece of this project was coming together. The production coordinator at CVP would regularly send emails out beyond midnight just to make sure everything was moving forward as planned. Filming began in New York on August 26, and then continued through a hectic 16-day period when the other locations were done. Aside from just getting the filming done, there were other concerns. Things like getting the camera through customs, and the language barrier in Germany all made for a more interesting experience.

Starting on September 11, when the final testimonial was shot in London, CVP had to receive the video back from the foreign countries, edit the video, which is all done in house, and get it back to Eyeblaster in time for the OMMA Global Conference on September 21. CVP was able to load the product onto their virtual server and let Eyeblaster view it remotely. This made the editing process much faster; as a representative did not have to travel down to see the work. There was no shortage of deadlines on this project, and much to the delight of CVP and Eyeblaster, they were all met. Production was wrapped on the project, and a final copy was sent to Eyeblaster with time to spare.

As a result, Eyeblaster has a testimonial reel that they can show at trade shows, to prospective clients, and on their website. CVP helped to make an informative, useful product under tight deadlines, thus expanding their library of videos designed to help build the image of their clients.

2008 Business Marketing Association (BMA-NJ) Impact Award “Metallix” Video’s Most Recent Accolade

Red Bank, New Jersey | May, 2008

CVP Inc.’s 2008 corporate marketing video produced for New Jersey-based Metallix Refining, Inc. recently garnered its second award. On April 29, the hard-hitting promotional piece received first place at the 2008 Business Marketing Association — New Jersey Impact Awards. Two months earlier, the video boasting brilliant footage of the refiner’s molten gold, silver and platinum garnered a Gold Addy® Award, from the Greater Lehigh Valley Advertising Association, Pennsylvania.

The 4-1/2 minute clip, available for viewing at www.metallixrefining.com, features vivid images of Metallix’ ISO certified facility in Greenville, North Carolina. Filmed using high-end green screen technology and set to a symphonic soundtrack, takes the viewer on the ultimate industrial thrill ride through Metallix’ operations, from safety procedures to purchasing policies.

The Metallix video’s awards are the latest in CVP’s string of accolades. CVP received the New Jersey Business Marketing Association 2005 Impact Award for Corporate Video Production for “Careers In Arboriculture,” produced for The Tree Fund. Three awards were received for CVP’s 2005 production for Raritan Bay Medical Center, designed to re-market the center’s two locations and promote its advanced technologies. Honors included The 4Ever Group’s Diamond Award for Artistic Achievement in corporate video production, and the Health Information Resource Center’s 2005 National Health Information Award and Videographer Award of Excellence in corporate video production.

“We’ve basically been collecting awards,” says Frank Farrell, President, CVP, Inc. “The honors are a great reward for CVP’s hard work, but more importantly, they are a tribute to CVP’s commitment to its employees and the greater Red Bank community.”

CVP’s award winning work extends far beyond New Jersey’s borders, however. Eric Leiner, CEO of Metallix Refining, Inc. hoped to use a local business to promote the company’s Greenville, North Carolina plant, and is pleased the resulting video has become an award-winning blockbuster.

“CVP showed me the quality work they had done on other products, then gave my project the time and effort – including spending five days filming at our North Carolina plant – it took to produce a perfect video. CVP’s auditioning process allowed me to choose the best talent, and the footage was amazing. CVP refused to deliver a product they themselves weren’t absolutely satisfied with.”

Red Bank, New Jersey | April 14th, 2008

Each production at CVP begins as a client’s challenge. Sometimes that challenge is technical, sometimes creative, and at times, both. The Tree Fund, an organization that identifies and funds programs to advance knowledge in the field of arboriculture, came to us with a particular vision and a specific description of this production’s main audience.CVP was able to meet all the technical needs of this project, as well as the creative needs of our client.

A particular challenge faced by this non-profit organization is encouraging students and young people to pursue arboriculture as a profession and career. In recent years enrollment has declined as young people opt for career paths in high technology. Reaching out to America’s youth early and educating them about the career possibilities as arborists has become and important objective.

Custom Video Productions was enlisted by The Tree Fund to aid them in creating a media presentation that would appeal to young people making career choices. As a script for this DVD was being written, careful attention was paid to establishing the criteria that draw people to arboriculture as a career, showing a well defined blue print of just how one attains a career in arboriculture, and demonstrating skills needed, equipment used, and jobs available in both urban and rural settings. With a finished script in hand, CVP moved into production.

Hiring young talent to narrate this production on camera was key. CVP interviewed scores of actors and actresses who could energetically, yet effectively relay the technical information that had to come across to the young audience. While the talent geared up for their part in the production, the shooting of outdoor, technical footage was almost complete. Location scouting for the outdoor video footage began, and a number of sites were chosen throughout New Jersey and New York State. Frank Farrell and the CVP crew logged many hours of videotape capturing tree climbing, proper pruning techniques, line cleaning, bucket work, and landscape management, building an interesting perspective of modern arboriculture. This footage also contained images of demonstrations of various technical equipment, structural evaluation, and safety procedures.

Using the blue screen in-house at CVP’s Red Bank studio location, the young talent was videotaped and the editing began. Fusing outdoor footage, the actors’ narration and a great soundtrack, the production moved toward completion. A rough cut reviewed by The Tree Fund led to a creative, informative and motivating final product.

CVP completed the duplication and creative packaging of 10,000 Tree Fund DVDs and the finished production was ready to be used at local, regional, and national trade shows, career fairs, and speaker presentations. This effective marketing tool written, produced, edited, mastered and duplicated by Custom Video Productions will help The Tree Fund educate and illustrate a career path in arboriculture and hopefully draw new talent into this vital field.

Red Bank, New Jersey | March 9, 2005

A hospital searches for an edge in today’s competitive medical services consumer market. The challenge: How to educate area newcomers and re-educate life-long residents about the comprehensive medical services provided by Raritan Bay Medical Center.

Enter, Custom Video Productions of Red Bank with a progressive, multimedia solution. Create an informative, eye-catching DVD that will be distributed to all area newcomers. Demonstrate to prospective clients, Raritan Bay’s position at the vanguard of advanced medical services. Communicate the hospital’s rich history as well as the new technological advancements now available to patients and the community.

For over 20 years Custom Video Productions (CVP), with President Frank Farrell at the helm, has been producing innovative, informative corporate videos that communicate a distinct message with style. CVP specializes in specifically tailored productions to suit the needs of their varied clientele. Farrell is involved in every project from start to finish. “I have a strong commitment to detail in every production,” says Farrell. “I strive to make the ordinary look extraordinary.” A very hands-on company owner, Farrell can be found shooting footage, logging hours in CVP’s editing suites, and attending production meetings along with the rest of the CVP team. Farrell can do it all. Farrell states, “We continually work within our clients’ budgets to create the best possible product for them.”

What goes into the making of a video such as the Raritan Bay piece? A production schedule comprised of over 135 hours, scripting and voice-over production, hours of editing, a custom edited soundtrack, and the final product is ready to show to hospital staff. After the creation of approximately 15,000 DVD’s for community distribution, this marketing weapon is ready for deployment.

From producing videos for corporate communications, including sales and marketing presentations, employee communication pieces and plant tours or product demos, to live event coverage, award videos, and safety tutorials, CVP has assisted many New Jersey-based corporations with their multimedia needs. The uses for video in the corporate world are as boundless as one’s imagination.

Another CVP client, CITYSAFE of Farmingdale, had a need to produce a comprehensive video detailing the uses, invulnerability, and practicality of its ModuleX Series Safe Rooms. CITYSAFE needed to demonstrate the safe room’s impenetrability, ease of on-site assembly, and unique expandability. As CITYSAFE has a worldwide client base, a DVD showcasing the company’s product became a vital tool in the company’s marketing and sales plan.

Further capitalizing on web technology, corporations rely more heavily on their websites to get information to their consumers, board members, distributors, and employees. Video production has found a place on websites in the form of streaming video. Garden State Veterinary Specialists (GSVS) used CVP’s video production services to create streaming video for their website, detailing the services provided by the specialty hospital, as well as showcasing the benefits of choosing to intern at the hospital. One video served two purposes, marketing services and recruiting. This video was then placed on GSVS’s website for viewing by consumers and prospective interns. Recently, that video was edited down to a 30 second commercial and is presently airing on cable TV.

CITYSAFE is entering into the production phase now and the final product will be ready for editing in a matter of days. GSVS is benefiting from their enhanced communications with consumers and potential employees via website and cable TV. Raritan Bay is ready to unveil their new DVD and bring to light all that the medical center has to offer the community. These are three very different corporations, in diverse fields, speaking to various consumer and potential employee bases. All three choosing to implement creative, multimedia video solutions to expand, strengthen and solidify their place in their respective markets.

Have you tried calling Dorn’s Photography of Red Bank lately? If you have then you have reached Custom Video Productions, Inc. Custom Video Productions is a multimedia production company located just off the Cooper Bridge in Red Bank. CVP, a long-time business contact of Dorn’s recently purchased Dorn’s business contacts, phone numbers, as well as their Kodak Digital Picture Maker. In the past Dorn’s and CVP have always had a good business relationship. Often Dorn’s would refer work to CVP, calling on the company’s multimedia resources, contacts, and technical expertise. In an effort to ensure that aspects of Dorn’s legendary business could live on, and that Dorn’s customers still had a place to go for the answers to their photography questions, CVP President, Frank Farrell decided to take on portions of the business. Farrell, founder of CVP, has been at the helm of his company for 25 years. Offering state-of-the-art technology solutions has always been his objective. As Dorn’s ends its local reign in traditional photography services, Custom Video Production is poised to offer accessibility to the cutting edge of the digital imaging age.

CVP is a multimedia production studio that offers clients a full range of services for digital photography including photo enhancement, photo editing, reprinting and re-sizing. This state-of –the-art digital equipment can heighten the quality of your images and can be used to repair or even restore old photos. At the same time CVP offers video production and editing services, duplication, and transfer services from any format, including J-Peg, all film formats, and even international formats. These services can come in very handy when happening upon packs of old pictures, slides or 8mm film canisters in the basement. Don’t lose those memories. Transfer them to a DVD format for preservation and for ease of viewing. And looking ahead to a new digital lifestyle, CVP can even aid clients in web design, including the addition of streaming video for personal or business website.

A service frequently used by Dorn’s customers in the past is CVP’s production of a personalized photomontage. CVP can take all of your photos and video images in any format and custom design a photomontage. Images are professionally edited and set to music, and digitally mastered onto a DVD. Custom Video Productions has truly become a one-stop-shop for digital technology needs. As one landmark business passes into history, another one is ready to carry on into the future, offering customers a great resource for their photography and videography needs, and making today’s digital imaging technology accessible to everyone.

The call came in to CVP’s Red Bank studio the afternoon of July 11th. Could CVP set up a five-camera, live-switch shoot for Jon Bon Jovi’s performance that night, at the Two River Theatre? When Jon Bon Jovi’s brother Anthony asked the question, he already knew the answer. Yes, CVP would get the job done. Within hours the equipment and crew were on the move.

Jon Bon Jovi’s two-hour benefit performance at the Two River Theatre entitled Jon Bon Jovi: “Off The Record,” began at 7:00pm, and the CVP crew was ready. The intimate, ?un-plugged? concert before 300 lucky fans retraced Bon Jovi’s career going back to the eighties. Music was mixed with an informal, personal interview recounting the history of Bon Jovi’s musical career through family and band photos. Long-time friend and legendary Philadelphia DJ, Pierre Robert led the interview. CVP captured all the angles of this landmark performance. Bon Jovi’s intimate concert and interview raised $110,000 for the Two River Theatre’s educational programs for the children of Monmouth County.
